This Saturday marks second annual Beach Music Festival on Marco Island

By LANCE SHEARER Posted October 24, 2011

Food, fun, music and sun at Marco Island Marriott 1st Annual Beach Music Festival

— Casey Weston – plus the Landsharks – on the beach!

The Landsharks is the closest you can get to seeing Jimmy Buffett, if Buffett happens to be somewhere else, looking for his "lost shaker of salt." The band, who take their name from a classic Buffett song, is a tribute band, and can sound more like Buffett than the man himself. They have played with JB, played in Margararitaville, and opened for the Beach Boys.

This weekend, Gary Roland and the Landsharks Band will be playing in Marco Island. On the beach.

Listeria Outbreak Now 2nd Largest in U.S. History

By Daniel J. DeNoon WebMD Health News

Oct. 10, 2011 -- The current listeria outbreak from cantaloupes is now the second largest in U.S. history.

The toll now stands at 109 cases and 21 deaths. A pregnant Iowa woman miscarried due to cantaloupe-linked listeria infection.

A person infected with listeria may take up to two months to develop the serious illness known as listeriosis. It may be several weeks before an illness is reported to the CDC, so cases that began after Sept. 11 may not yet be counted.

That count now has passed the 1998 listeria outbreak in hot dogs and deli meats. That outbreak sickened 108 people. There were 14 deaths and four miscarriages.

Come join Collier County patriots in a sign waving supporting Ron Paul for President!!! Our focus will be the economy and Ron Paul's plan to cut $1 Trillion from the budget in his first year. His plan includes an audit of the Federal Reserve Bank, ending foreign aid, ending the wars, cutting Congressional pay, cutting the Federal Government workforce by 10%, eliminating the Department of Energy, Department of Education, and Department of Commerce (to name just a few). His plan will also repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank bill.

Although not a part of his plan, Ron Paul supports totally abolishing the Federal Income Tax. Ron Paul is the only candidate with a plan to return Constitutional government which will allow our economy to recover and restore American prosperity.

Bring your friends and family, bring your American flags, Ron Paul signs, and of course your energy as we promote freedom and liberty by supporting Ron Paul in 2012.
